Alcove Units
Alcove cupboards and shelves built to the exact dimensions of your room — solid, square and properly finished, not flat-pack.
- Pair of cupboards, full shelves, or combination
- Scribed to wall, skirting and chimney breast
- Hand-painted in any colour
- Chunky oak or painted floating shelves
- Cable management for lamps and TVs
- Shadow gaps, fluted detail or beadboard options

Alcoves are never quite square — Victorian and Edwardian Fylde Coast houses, in particular, have skirting that bows, walls that taper and chimney breasts that wander. Our alcove units are scribed to the wall on every edge, so the joint with the plaster is hairline thin and the finish reads as architecture.
Customers usually choose a pair of low cupboards with chunky oak or painted floating shelves above — a classic move that adds storage and a place to style books, lamps and pictures without crowding the room.
Most alcove sets are installed in 3–5 days, hand-painted in any colour, with shadow gaps, fluted detail or beadboard backs available if you want a more characterful finish.
